Observation notes: Fritillaries taking nectar from brown fluffroot/Wright's acourtia flowers growing on an arroyo bank along the Soledad Canyon Trail. Many insect species, including butterflies, visited this valuable nectar source over an hour or so. The day was hot, breezy, and with full sunlight.
