Date notes: American Snouts migrated in large numbers from 07/26 to 10/30 2021 near the trailhead at Soledad Canyon. Times of observation were from 9:35am to 4:30pm.

Observation notes: Migrating American Snouts, in large numbers, selected western hackberry trees as their principal habitat and nectared from a variety of nearby flowers. Some forage plants included acacia shrubs, turpentine bush, gumweed, and showy goldeneyes. Daytime weather was warm-to-hot, sunny, and with breezy-to-windy conditions.
