Observation notes: Landed on a sunlit rock near the canyon entrance at the given coordinates. Occasionally opened its wings. Flew off towards the east after about 8 minutes.

Coordinator notes: Joel, thanks so much for this submittal. This, a female, is the first documented report from Luna County. The date, Dec. 13, is about 10 days later than our previous late date for this species. Quite a nice find! thanks for submitting it to BAMONA.
