Observation notes: Planted African Milkweed first time in several years, Hard to keep the monarchs from eating it to death they love it. Queens love it also. Only a rare few Queens this year that I saw in our yard. We get monarch Daily year round so many that I don't bother to post them. They will not go Extinct due to lack of Milkweed as long as we grow some and also provide nectar to sip. A warm morning we had many hot days this year. also had lots of other desert strays to the coast. Did not notice if this female was laying eggs, the monarch males will chase the queens away commonly. Some times we will get Queen larvae not this year though.
