Observation notes: Diane at first thought this was a gray Hairstreak, then she said no its not so then I wanted to see what it was. Brett said he was going to look for the Mallow Scrub late date record in ocean side so we were told if we saw one it could be the late date record? Diane got this one shot then I tried to get closer and it started flying around and getting skittish so this is the only shot we were to get as it kept giving us the shady side. Anza Borrego Desert State Park, Rainbow canyon. Still desert lavender buckwheat and other flowers blooming 6-7 snouts queens lady sleep sulphur cloudless, dainty. Acton-Lupin, marine and spotted. wrights metalmark. Saw Great purple sipping sap at a different location, males and females pygmy blue maybe others.
