Observation notes: On consecutive days a Leafwing butterfly nectared from the same false goldeneye shrub patch along the Soledad Canyon Trail. on September 2erd it was accompanied by an American Snout, Tachinid flies, an unidentified fly, and a Soldier Beetle. On September 24th there was a Convergent Lady Beetle. On October 25th near the Soledad Canyon Trailhead, a Leafwing joined Reakirt's Blue butterflies to take nutrients from a pile of canid scat I have only a poor image for this observation and will not enter it - I will make it available upon request.
