Observation notes: Visiting flowers in yard of Lori and Mark Conrad. Multiple individuals of this species were likely around Portal during this time. In the previous couple of days, I photographed single ones at Sunny Flat Campground and along the trail between Sunny Flat and Stewart Campgrounds. New Mexico doesn't appear to have any records yet, but this species almost assuredly got close to or crossed the stateline this summer/fall following the wet monsoon.
