Observation notes: Being attached by two European Paper Wasps at a flowering rabbitbrush bush. I think it was still slightly alive, but wasn't for long. A first for me in Boulder County. I often wonder about the effects of paper wasp predation on native Lepidoptera, but have rarely observed direct predation on adult butterflies.
