Dowdy Pinion
Lithophane unimoda

Observation date: October 30, 2021

Specimen type: Photograph
Observation notes: Attracted to lights. Duller gray than nearby L. grotei and the outer orbicular spot being the only conspicuous marking I think favor this ID. Probably the last observation I’ll submit this year with projected lows well below freezing. Thanks for all the ID’s!! I’ve learned a lot. It’s been a fun season and I’m looking forward to next year!

Coordinator notes: There are still probably some moths that will show up even after the frost. Erannis tiliaria is one that shows up in early November. I've also been able to identify a few moths that I had on BG which had remained in limbo because of your moths so the help goes both ways.
