Observation notes: Not sure about this at all. But from the "outdenting" on the margin of the dorsal HW proximal to the tail that is there, as well as the submarginal row of yellow dots on the same wing. This may well be the species? Only landed for a few seconds allowing one shot before taking off again.

Coordinator notes: Christopher, I think you got it right. the scalloped HW edge is diagnostic and the marks are consistent with a female. I see you went to "the spot" below the La Cueva parking lot. many good butterflies there this summer . . .
