Observation notes: Very nice surprise. This flew past me from behind me and I thought it was a painted lady at first but it landed on some low tree branches and I saw it was obviously a comma. Very pretty butterfly, it stayed for several minutes and posed for me. I have seen this species reported from the Sandias before but didn't expect to see at at this relatively low elevation.
