Coordinator notes: This is probably not an acmon, but rather Icaricia monticola, a segregate with bolder black spots below which I know gets into the Pinnacles area. I elevated monticola to full species status in a publication on the Butterflies of Southern California published by Colorado State University about 3 years ago. Since BAMONA is not aware of this change or not accepting it and a Lupine Blue this is not, I handled it this way. Monticola uses Eriogonum fasciculatum as its larval host...Ken Davenport
