Coordinator notes: The butterfly is very worn on the late date of your sighting but based on the lighter colored upperside and lack of heavy black markings, and altitude based on the location of your plotted dot at Platoro Reservoir (<9500 feet>), I believe this is the Atlantis Fritillary. The record is in Conejos County. Rio Grande County, not too far to the north, would represent a new county record for atlantis in Colorado. On the flip-side, if this were the Northwestern Fritillary, that would be a new county record for Conejos County but that frit is not very commonly found much above 9000 feet. Mike
