Observation notes: ~45-50 mm caterpillar found “sitting-still” on the stalk of a goldenrod (Solidago) plant. The plant is growing in a sunny opening alongside of a gravel road through mixed woods. I know B&M larva are difficult to ID and apologize that I’m unable to make a suggestion.
