Specimen type: Photograph
Observation notes: Reared from Carya glabra. This image is one of two individual adults that were reared from mines that both began right next to each other on the same leaf and seemed identical. The eggs seem to be the dark blobs in one of the images, attached to the upper surface of the leaf. The mines created by the green larvae were linear throughout and the frass was centrally deposited in the tract making a thin black line. The larvae were found on 7/21. Each larva exited their mines through the upper epidermis on 7/24 and burrowed in some soil in the container. The last image is of one of the cocoons attached to a chunk of dirt after the adults emerged. The adults eclosed some time between 8/1 and 8/7 and were found dead on 8/7.
