Common Checkered-Skipper
Burnsius communis

Observation date: August 31, 2021
Submitted by: Cascade Colors
Specimen type: Photograph
Observation notes: This seemed less white, smaller, and faster moving than all of the common checkered-skippers I have been seeing about ten miles south of here, but I guess due to the clear blue-gray above, it's a definite Common rather than Small. Also thank you for all of the information you provide in your comments!

Coordinator notes: You are correct...a male Common Checkered Skipper...I have one that is as small as the Small Checkered Skipper so they do come in smaller size. Mike
