Clouded Sulphur
Colias philodice

Observation date: August 10, 2021
Submitted by: COA1955
Specimen type: Photograph
Observation notes: Thousands of these beauties seen over the course of 2 weeks. They favored the Rocky Mtn Bee Plant then continued with directional flight from north to south. I think they are Clouded Sulphurs but my ID skills are not the best. Thanks for your assistance, Mike!

Coordinator notes: You are correct Char...Clouded Sulphur (males in this and your submission 1309799). The orange ones about the same size or larger are Orange Sulphurs (Colias eurytheme). Since this record and that one are the same and on the same day, I'll reject the other (1309799). I suppose different dates at the same place are OK but in that, best if they are three or four weeks apart and presence or absence can be tracked. Take care, Mike
