Coordinator notes: This is a female Field Crescent, not Gorgone's Checkerspot. Again, you should be able to compare the two from the BAMONA website. The upperside (and underside) between the two are entirely different. Gorgone's is not very common on the high plains east of the foothills. It can be common in the lower foothills but sometime is nearly absent. It is again fairly common well into east Colorado (northeastern counties and the Arkansas River Valley) in late June-July and again in September. Mike
