Coordinator notes: As your previous sighting...correct ID...one from the preceding summer flight. It is unknown if the Western Pigmy Blue is a resident, able to survive in all growth stages during winter, or migrant into eastern Colorado each year. It does appear to be a resident in lowland western Colorado where I live (in Montrose). They have nearly a continual presence in my backyard from June to November (my latest records is Dec. 2nd or 3rd) and the earliest April 30...unlike a migrant in the middle Uncompahgre Valley. Mike
