Observation notes: Came to black light/MV trap. Live Oak/chaparral habitat. 608 ft elevation. Forewing 11.5mm. 27.1mm wingspan spread. 2018GM-0002. According to Lafontaine, J. D., 1998. Moths of America North of Mexico, Fascicle 27.3:43, Cerastis cornuta & Cerastis enigmatica are indistinguishable externally. C. cornuta has 12-14mm forewing & occurs from Sonoma County southward to Santa Clara County, while C. enigmatica has 14-16mm forewing & occurs from the Panhandle of Alaska southward to Humboldt County in northern California.
