Coordinator notes: Your suggested ID is correct, the Northwestern Fritillary (better name is the Red-disc Fritillary because the disc on the underside of the hindwings is reddish, differing from the Atlantis Fritillary which is blackish-brown). The ssp. is electa and genetics indicates silver-spotted hesperis group butterflies can be considered a separate species group apart from hesperis (Speyeria nausicaa complex). Mike
