Observation notes: The caterpillar was about 2.5 inches long and was moving slowly across an asphalt path as I walked by. I decided to take a photo, and when I returned a moment later, there was a wasp on the caterpillar. The weather was calm, overcast/smoky and 14 degrees Celsius. The area is in a public park in a boreal forest.
