Observation notes: A warm mostly-sunny summer midday; the butterfly was briefly near some cultivated prairie plants near the Lakeview Nature Center at Lakeview Nature Area, then it moved across gravel road and a mown lawn (where these photos were taken) toward a well-reestablished tallgrass prairie before flying back into the taller native plants and being lost to view.
