Observation notes: Private garden near Cottonwood Creek, off Hwy. 395 & County Road 206, New Pine Creek, CA. Near base of Warner Mountains in northern CA. Warm & sunny morning (9:30 am to 10 am). Elevation about 4960 feet. Butterfly feeding on Sulphur Buckwheat (Eriogonum umbellatum). I only saw this one Blue (couldn't photo below), but was amazed at the forewings & hindwings above with their prominent black veins.
