Our summer fundraiser has arrived, and we need your help!
We depend on donations to keep Butterflies and Moths of North America online and free. If everyone who uses this resource makes a donation, we could cover our ongoing costs, develop new features, upgrade the system, and maybe even remove those pesky ads. Please make a one-time or recurring donation to show your support for this valuable source of information. Thank you!
Coordinator notes: Difficult to be absolutely certain without a look at a hindwing, but I don't think this is A. anna (the other possibility from the FW pattern). Also, A. anna tends to be yellowish, which this is not. BTW, MPG notes that the taxonomy has changed - this sp. has moved from Grammia to Apantesis. The pics by Forest Barnas and Stuart Schwartz support this being apantesis - see http://mothphotographersgroup.msstate.edu/species.php?hodges=8197 JRains
