Observation notes: Not necessarily unexpected in this habitat (mixed conifer/oak forest) but certainly in Valencia County which has precious little of this habitat. Butterfly appeared to be sunning. Oddly for late June, It had been cloudy all morning and the sun had just broken through at this one location.
