Observation notes: Bristle Cone Pine forest road 11k + By farthest Grove. Extremely dry hard time finding anything green or flowering. Few Butterflies, we got lucky I guess after seeing nothing for 3 days and found a few flowers. Mostly Cloudy 10-15 wind Cool few things flying.

Coordinator notes: You've been fooled. This is almost surely Euphydryas anicia wheeleri which is well known from that locality. If you had taken this anywhere else, I would have thought this was Edith's Checkerspot too! That is why it is so important to give actual localities. Mostl wheeleri do have more black, also thanks for sharing conditions there.-Ken Davenport
