Observation notes: There were fields of Golden Banner in the area...one reason I'm leaning toward Persius.

Coordinator notes: This is your second choice...the Rocky Mountain Duskywing. Has lighter spotting on the upper hindwings and grayer forewings than persius. It is an oak feeder and there is plenty of shrub oak in southern Las Animas County (Raton Pass area is about where your plotted record is shown). Mike
