Observation notes: I came across 4 Red-spotted purples together with 1 White admiral + 1 Tiger swallowtail together on a horse path in a wet area - they were quite indifferent to my presence, and could be approached for photographs; they showed no inclination to leave, and wound up actually admonishing 2 cyclists to slow down and watch out for butterflies!
