Observation notes: Individual was drawn to exterior lights. The wings and body are banded with browns and creams that become more scalloped towards the wingtips. Body has short fur and the collar is smooth; in a resting position the body does not lie flat, and the end of the abdomen arcs upwards slightly in a crescent shape. The head is prominent but mouthpiece is not, eyes are large and the antennae are thin. Wingspan is roughly 2 inches or larger.
