Observation notes: I saw this butterfly on my marigolds and was only able to get a short video of it before it flew off. It was opening and closing its wings very rapidly. I was able to pause the video and get this photo. It was probably in the high 60’s when taken. We live in a Ponderosa pine forest setting.
