Observation notes: I am really uncertain on this one. The Summer Azure looks closest to me, but I guess it is out of range. Perhaps another type of Azure? The second photo shows a pair mating.

Coordinator notes: Kelly, over the past year it has been brought to my attention by some Colorado butterflyers that northern NM has two azure species: Echo and Northern. the one in your top photo is northern, based on much darker ventral spots than on Echo.
