Our summer fundraiser has arrived, and we need your help!
We depend on donations to keep Butterflies and Moths of North America online and free. If everyone who uses this resource makes a donation, we could cover our ongoing costs, develop new features, upgrade the system, and maybe even remove those pesky ads. Please make a one-time or recurring donation to show your support for this valuable source of information. Thank you!
Observation notes: 51F, clear skies and windy. Three individuals seen at this spot flying among the lupine in the Allegan Pine Plains Natural Area at the Allegan State Game Area. The first individual (first photo) was patrolling, then perched in the dry leaves. When I flushed it, another individual immediately flew up to investigate. They flew quite high in spiraling flight and then each perched again. The third individual (second photo) was about 30m from the first two and was also flying.
