Observation notes: This is the second Ceanothus Moth I have seen clinging to the outside of the Mendocino Volunteer Fire Department firehouse at 44700 Little Lake Road in Mendocino CA. The first one was last week, but I did not have a camera handy. The moth in this photo is clinging to one of the address numbers above the office door. It's a clear, windy day with a temperature in the upper 50s or low 60s.
