Observation notes: In looking at many images of what I believe is a promethea silkmoth what I notice most are the four white stripes. I live at 1,572ft elevation surround by blue oak, white oak, Coast live oak, bay laurel, chaparral, some open grasslands and many seasonal creeks. I get these on my front porch often this time of year.
