Rocky Mountain Duskywing
Erynnis telemachus

Observation date: April 16, 2021
Submitted by: Cactuswren1976
Specimen type: Photograph
Observation notes: Observed flying and alighting near the dirt forest road. Also basking. Perhaps six individuals were noted today.
Status: Resident

Coordinator notes: Rene, this is a tough call without a view of the ventrum. I believe it is telemachus based on the site, time of year and the slow season. Afranius is more likely than Persius because of the valley-bottom setting, but neither of those is likely yet in this cool, slow-advancing season.
