Observation notes: buckeyes present in Last Chance Canyon, some in bloom, others just starting; adult henrici basking while perched on buckeye flower; some apparent attempts to insert proboscis into flower by making hole in side of corolla tube; adult hanging around/perching near blooming buckeye; ants patrolling buckeye branches nr flowers; found frass in old buckeye seed pod with hole in side, several instances of this. henrici walking slowly among buckeye flowers, possibly ovipositing, but gender uncertain and no eggs found upon inspection.
