Cabbage Looper Moth
Trichoplusia ni

Observation date: August 31, 2019
Date notes: The first set are from the observation date listed, the second set are from a couple weeks later 9/12/2019 at 7:06 am
Submitted by: CelestiHel
Specimen type: Photograph
Observation notes: Two sets of 4 pictures each. The first shows a small individual that I almost chopped up from my planted oregano. The second shows a larger individual 2ish weeks later on the same oregano plant. I think they are from the same brood, but different stages of development. I remember seeing a small white moth/butterfly on these plants. Both times they were found in the oregano, but the boxes also had basil and scallions. I am on a second floor balcony with a southern exposure. The best we could do was maybe some kind of looper moth.
