Our summer fundraiser has arrived, and we need your help!
We depend on donations to keep Butterflies and Moths of North America freely available. If everyone who uses this resource makes a donation, we could cover our ongoing costs, develop new features, upgrade the system, and maybe even remove those pesky ads. Please make a one-time or recurring donation to show your support for this valuable source of information. Thank you!
Observation notes: Sipping nectar, several fritillaries seen in the area.

Coordinator notes: You did good, this is one of the least known fritillaries in the Sierra Nevada, but we do know they show up late in the season on the east side of the northern Sierra Nevada. I'll use this record in the season summary. I am familiar with these in Utah, the size is too large and markings more pronounced than in Great Basin Fritillary-Ken Davenport.
