Observation notes: This mostly wet early successional field was full of sedges, rushes, grasses and forbs including 5 species of Asclepias and Apocynum cannabinum. The Frit was observed nectaring on all except Asclepias exaltata and A. purpurascens (there was only one bloomed plant of this species). The bad news: a week after this observation the field was completely mowed.
