Coordinator notes: The early record for San Diego County for a Funereal Duskywing is 23 January 2019 by Brett Badeaux. I keep the state records for early and late flight dates for California. I find Mournful and Funereal Duskywing easy to ID when fresh if the angle is good and the marks visible. That pale patch on the forewing is diagnostic-Ken Davenport
