Observation notes: A somewhat ragged individual observed on a Reed Canary Grass leaf in an area regularly irrigated by treated effluent water; no water flowing today. Host plant Coyote Willow common in the area.

Coordinator notes: Rene, this is a good find, even for Santa Fe County! upon reviewing my data for this critter, I see that it has been seen also along the Pecos River and in the Canadian River watershed, but not commonly. Desert Viceroy is known also from the Gila R., Mimbres R., and Bootheel.
