Pahaska Skipper
Hesperia pahaska

Observation date: August 20, 2020
Submitted by: SusanCrick
Specimen type: Photograph
Observation notes: Feeding on Hairy False Goldenaster (Heterotheca villosa).
Status: Resident
Verified by: mikefisher
Verified date: November 18, 2020
Coordinator notes: This is the Pahaska Skipper....Hesperia juba does not range east of the eastern Front Range in eastern Colorado. Again, like the C. fulvia record, I'm surprised there was a successive brood late in the summer. This skipper is most common in late May-June and the successive flight is usually only partial at best but often is never seen. Mike
