Observation notes: I found this "Long Tailed Skipper" in my garden late in the afternoon. He was very quick and did not tarry long once my presence was known. I watched from a distance as he visited my marigolds and squash leaves, it was hot and humid with storm clouds gathering. I did not have my camera with me but I hurried inside and retrieved it. I was delighted to find him lingering so I could grab a couple of super quick shots before he flew away.
