Observation notes: This Long Tailed Skipper was seen on a clear, warm day in mid-August in Nashville Tennessee. The butterfly in question was drinking from a Tithonia Rotundifolia blossom, staying close to the inner part of the bush. It moved very quickly between the flowers, and disappeared soon after the photograph was taken.
