Our summer fundraiser has arrived, and we need your help!
We depend on donations to keep Butterflies and Moths of North America freely available. If everyone who uses this resource makes a donation, we could cover our ongoing costs, develop new features, upgrade the system, and maybe even remove those pesky ads. Please make a one-time or recurring donation to show your support for this valuable source of information. Thank you!

Observation notes: Almost stepped on this caterpillar as it was crawling across my concrete driveway. There was an outside light on in the vicinity. Not sure where it would have come from exactly, but there is a neighbour's house that has some type of creeping/ivy vines on it's structure. I can only guess as to why it was on my driveway and not in the vine's foliage. It may be that it was looking for a spot to pupate. I hope to successfully rear it to adulthood.
