Observation notes: A warm mostly-sunny day at Miller Meadow Forest Preserve, the moth was in the small prairie plants next to a wooded summer-dry watercourse. It didn’t seem to be doing anything particularly as it moved from plant to plant (not feeding, resting, sunning).
