Observation notes: Found on a residential property driveway in close proximity to plantain, clover and grass species. Lilac and rose bushes within 10 meters. The caterpillar appeared to be excavating a burrow or otherwise 'digging'. A sunny but cool day (approx. 18 degrees C) in advance of a rainy day anticipated the day after the observation.
