Observation notes: Male and female interacting on a leaf of American Spikenard (one nudging up against the other) along the trail. Probable courtship on the part of the male, but no mating observed. Female may have already been mated according to reviewer Steve Cary.

Coordinator notes: the Sangre de Cristos have subspecies electa, which strangely enough has unsilvered undersides far to the north.
