Observation notes: Temp in mid 80s F; clear skies & lots of sunshine. Subject – very-active, small (wing span ~30 to 35 mm) butterfly visiting Coeropsis blossoms. Almost always perching with wings fold over its back, it briefly landed on a rock in the shade. That’s when this photo was taken. The lighter lines on the wings also show on the underside of the wings when they are folded.
